Ben and Phil Gardner founded a law firm in 1975 in their home community of Martinsville, Virginia to make professional legal services available to fellow citizens, but administered with a welcoming hometown touch. Our law firm has since grown to its present size of four lawyers, possessing more than 100 years of collective legal experience, along with 10 support staff members working for the benefit of you, the client. The firm’s name has also expanded to reflect the current partnership and the teamwork backing it. Gardner, Barrow & Sharpe P.C. is here to serve you.

Although the firm represents the leading corporate and institutional interests in the area, the firm’s main focus is civil litigation and criminal defense in state and federal courts. Each attorney in our law firm contributes valuable legal experience that benefits our clients.
