Personal information, activities and hobbies

Len and his wife, Bonnie, are life-long residents of Martinsville and Henry Counties and have two children. Bonnie, a full-time mom and volunteer, holds a B.S. degree in psychology from Averett University and has taught exceptional children for the last four years in the Pittsylvania County School System. Britney, their oldest child, was Co-Valedictorian of the Martinsville High School class of 2000. She received a B.A. degree in both economics and English in 2004 from the University of Virginia and is presently employed as a financial analyst with Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company in Irvine, California. Their son, Cabell, also a graduate of Martinsville High School, is presently finishing up his second year at Hampden-Sydney College. Cabell was recently elected to the Student Court and admitted to The Society of 1791, as well as the Wilson Center Public Service Certificate Program.

Len's greatest enjoyment has always been spending time with his wife and kids. In his spare time, Len especially enjoys fishing and duck hunting. Duck hunting in Stuttgart, Arkansas with his son, Cabell, has been an annual event for many years now. This has become a valued tradition for Len, and is much like experiences that Len shared with his own dad. Also, periodic jaunts to California allow Len and Bonnie to catch up with their daughter, Britney, and have a little fun in the sun.

Len has been a member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church since childhood, and he continues to be active in that congregation.
